A Prescription for Health, Hope, and Opportunity
Rx Kids is a beacon of hope, strengthening family economic security and improving health.
As the nation’s first-ever community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program, Rx Kids is providing life-changing financial security that is universal and unconditional. Moms receive $1,500 during pregnancy, and babies receive $500 a month for a designated length of time that varies between 6 – 12 months. The program is expanding into other Michigan communities with momentum to shape the lives of thousands of families locally, regionally, and nationally.

To qualify for Rx Kids benefits, you must be a resident of one of the participating locations in Michigan:
Individuals who reside outside of a designated Rx Kids location are not eligible. Check the community page and application to learn more about the program in your community.

Gather Your Documentation
You will need to verify your identity and residency within the participating location, be pregnant for a minimum of 16 weeks, or have legal guardianship over the child after birth. Sometimes, it’s difficult to determine if you live in a participating location. See FAQ’s for details.
Apply Online
If you live in an Rx Kids location, you can apply if you are at least 16 weeks pregnant.
Await Verification and Receive Your Cash Prescriptions
After verification, you will receive a message letting you know when to expect your first payment. Payments begin at the point of enrollment.
