Dear Rx Kids,
I wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for creating and believing in Rx Kids.
Becoming a mother is beautiful, but it also comes with challenges and unexpected moments that can make this season feel overwhelming. My journey into motherhood has had its difficult days, and there have been moments when simply trying to keep everything together felt like a lot. The support from Rx Kids has given me reassurance and breathing room during a time when it was truly needed.
The support from Rx Kids has taken a weight off my shoulders that I truly needed lifted. The extra support has helped my family with everyday necessities, household expenses, and the many things that come with caring for a growing child. More than anything, it has provided a little extra stability and peace of mind during a season when having that support can make such a meaningful difference.
Because of Rx Kids, there have been days when I could say, “Okay, I can handle this.” And that means more to me than I can put into words.
What you’ve created isn’t simply financial assistance. You’re giving families a little stability during one of the biggest transitions of their lives. You’re reminding mothers and families that their community sees them, believes in them, and wants them to succeed.
I am incredibly grateful that my son and I have been able to benefit from something created right here for families like ours. I hope you know that the impact of this program reaches much further than a dollar amount. It reaches into homes, into grocery carts, into bills that get paid, into babies who have what they need, and into mothers who get to breathe a little easier.
If I’m allowed one playful complaint, though … I just wish Rx Kids lasted a little longer! 😂
As a mom, I could definitely make a case for extending it because once you’ve experienced how much of a difference that extra support makes, you realize just how valuable it truly is.
But truly, thank you. Thank you for seeing the needs of Flint families. Thank you for investing in our children. Thank you for helping mothers like me stay afloat during a season that can feel overwhelming. And most importantly, thank you for giving families a little more hope and breathing room when we need it most. Thank you for reminding me that there are still good people in this world who genuinely care about helping others and making a difference.
What you have created has restored a little bit of my faith in people, and I will never take that for granted. I will always be grateful that Rx Kids was there for my family during such an important chapter of our lives.
