Enhanced public dashboard now updates every day, providing near real-time visibility into program growth and impact

Rx Kids today announced the launch of a major enhancement to its public dashboard, moving from weekly to daily updates and providing one of the most transparent views of any maternal and infant health program in the nation.

Since the program’s launch, the Rx Kids dashboard has provided weekly updates on the number of moms and babies enrolled, the amount of cash prescribed, and key demographics. The new platform now refreshes daily, providing near real-time visibility into how support is reaching moms and babies across participating communities.

The enhanced dashboard reflects Rx Kids’ ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and public access to information as the program continues to grow across Michigan.

Since launching in Flint in 2024, Rx Kids has expanded into communities across the state, becoming the nation’s first and largest community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program. The public dashboard has served as a key resource for understanding the program’s reach, growth, and impact.

The new daily updates build on that foundation by providing a more timely and detailed picture of program activity as it happens.

“When we launched Rx Kids, we committed to being efficient and transparent about how this program operates and grows,” said Dr. Mona Hanna, founder and director of Rx Kids and Associate Dean of Public Health at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. “Our dashboard has already provided weekly public updates that are rare for programs of this size. Moving to daily updates raises the bar even higher. Anyone can now follow our progress in near real time and see exactly how communities are investing in babies and families.”

In addition to enrollment and participation metrics, the dashboard also features economic impact measures that illustrate how investments in moms and babies circulate through local economies and create jobs. Together, these indicators provide a comprehensive view of both the reach of the program and its broader community impact.

The transition from weekly to daily reporting reflects Rx Kids’ belief that public programs should be open, accountable, and easy for the public to understand. While many programs report data annually, Rx Kids now provides daily public reporting on key program metrics, allowing anyone to follow the program’s growth and reach.

“Transparency builds trust,” Hanna said. “Whether you’re a parent, policymaker, taxpayer, journalist, researcher, or community partner, you deserve the opportunity to see how this program is working and how communities are supporting their youngest residents. We are proud to make our data more accessible, more timely, and more transparent than ever before.”

The new dashboard is available now through the Impact section of the Rx Kids website.
