Rx Kids—launched in Flint in 2024—is the nation’s first community-wide prenatal and infant cash prescription program, providing families with $1,500 during pregnancy and $500 per month during the first six or twelve months of a baby’s life. Since its launch, Rx Kids has expanded to deliver over $17 million in cash to more than 3,900 families across more than a dozen Michigan communities, improving birth outcomes and healthcare utilization, reducing financial stress, and strengthening local economies.

Now, with historic investment from the State of Michigan and growing local momentum, Rx Kids is poised to expand to dozens of high-need Michigan communities—reaching thousands of babies over the next three years.
