Albion, Battle Creek, Springfield, and Sheridan Township Residents Can Sign Up Today!
Infants born on or after July 1, 2026, and expectant mothers who live in the cities of Albion, Battle Creek, Springfield, and Sheridan Township, are eligible to apply. Upon verification, moms receive $1,500 during pregnancy and babies receive $500 a month for six months after birth. Families can enroll anytime from 16+ weeks pregnancy until six months of age, as long as the baby was born after the July 1, 2026.

Milk Like Mine is a nonprofit organization offering birth and postpartum doula services, childbirth education classes, lactation assistance (in-person, virtual, and in-home), mom to mom breastfeeding guidance, and postpartum depression support groups. They also offer Hispanic community support with Spanish speaking services.
Charitable Union in Battle Creek provides baby/children’s clothing, formula, diapers, children’s books, and small household items at no charge. Families are invited to shop in Charitable Union’s Free Store each month for essential items that support their household and well-being.
Battle Creek Diaper Initiative supplies diapers, wipes, and free resources to families in need. Distribution takes place on the last Wednesday of each month. The organization also connects families to community resources, family support services, and early childhood opportunities that promote healthy development and family stability.
